Dallas-based esrp moving its headquarters from Dallas to The Star in Frisco – Dallas Business Journal

Dallas-based real estate brokerage and advisory firm — esrp, formerly E Smith Realty Partners — has decided to move its Dallas headquarters and offices to The Star in Frisco overlooking the Dallas Cowboys practice fields.

esrp, along with nearly 50 employees, will move into its new offices on the third floor at One Cowboys Way, the office building holding the world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys, by the end of July.

The Star is an ideal location for the real estate firm’s business, said CEO Sharon Morrison, who has spoken in depth with the Dallas Business Journal about the company.

“This move positions esrp squarely in one of the hottest real estate markets in the country,” Morrison said, in a written statement. “Surrounded by some of the world’s most renowned corporations making significant investments in Texas, we’ll have an unprecedented opportunity to collaborate with new and existing clients. It’s a game changer on many levels.”

The Frisco-Legacy market is no longer referred to as the “Dallas suburbs,” said esrp President Steve Jarvie, but a market being measured against other larger U.S. cities for its skilled workforce and growing number of corporate tenants.

Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney said the real estate firm’s reputation in the market aligned well with other brands and companies relocating or recently moving to Frisco.

Dallas Cowboys COO Stephen Jones agreed with Cheney saying esrp exemplifies the type of “fast-growing, forward-thinking businesses,” relocating here.

“The move sends a clear message: The Star is much more than an entertainment center; it is an incredible place to do business,” Stephens added.

The real estate firm has aligned itself clearly with the Cowboys in the past by adding former Dallas Cowboys player Darren Woodson to its team last August.

The addition came shortly after NFL Hall of Fame legend and longtime Cowboys player Emmitt Smith left the company he helped create to pursue other ventures, which seems to include a partnership of some form with another commercial real estate firm, Newmark Group Inc. (Nasdaq: NMRK).
